Hive mentality is where a person bases their personal decisions on whatever a group generally thinks or believes. Someone with a hive mentality typically considers loyalty to the group a top priority. For these people, following the group's opinion is much more important than making their own independent choices or decisions. This mindset is pervasive, making it difficult for many to challenge collective decisions. As a result, the judgments and decisions made tend to be more extreme than those held by people who think for themselves. Because a group normally decides what's right and what's wrong, and this is a type of hive mentality world, ethical considerations are frequently overlooked.

In most cases, those individuals who hold power and control of the hive tend to manipulate the hive by keeping them focused on nonessential issues in order to fuel their drive towards some course with hidden agendas. This is done so that the individuals who are in control can remain in power. In many instances, those in power groom these people to work towards fueling a course that is not a necessity but a luxury that only a selected few will benefit from, while broader societal issues, like food insecurity, remain unresolved. For example, ambitious projects such as lunar exploration may captivate the public's imagination but ultimately serve only a privileged minority who hold the majority sway. They will ultimately divert every resource available in the country, which will be channeled towards achieving this goal, while other basic issues remain unresolved.

Historically, there has been no single country that, in its history, has made an informed decision that has not been challenged by the next generation for hindering their progress. Most decisions made are engineered for those in power to remain in power and control. This is also affecting our religious beliefs, thus making many to revamp in order to maintain relevance, hence losing their true meaning. This truly shows how we rush into these quick, easy-fix solutions thrown at us by our leaders, and we follow blindly just because it suits the moment. People often avoid responsibility by hiding behind group norms or bureaucratic structures, choosing ignorance over confronting the uncomfortable truth. They fear taking responsibility for their actions and prefer to hide behind rules or laws set by others rather than stand up for what is right. This fear of facing reality suppresses individuality, as critical thinking is sacrificed for conformity. Dissenting voices are silenced, leading to a lack of diversity and innovation. Social media exacerbates this issue further by creating echo chambers that reinforce existing beliefs and deepen divisions.

In order for society to break free from hive mentality, people must learn to think critically, voice dissent, and seek diverse perspectives. Encouraging respectful dialogue and valuing different viewpoints can cultivate a more inclusive society that embraces individuality and fosters innovation. By challenging the status quo, we can promote critical thinking and create a world that values diverse experiences. Ultimately, we will overcome the pitfalls of hive mentality.
